General information about Holywell Events

The pool is 6 lanes, 25 metres, with anti-turbulence lane ropes.

All events will be held under Welsh ASA rules.

Electronic timing will be used, with manual timing in the event of breakdown.  Times and positions shown on the electronic scoreboard are for information only - they are not necessarily the official result.

Competitor cards / withdrawal slips (if used) must be posted one hour prior to the start of the first session (45 minutes before the start of other sessions).

The organisers reserve the right to alter any part of the programme.

Entries will be limited, and the organisers reserve the right to refuse entry.

Swimmers who withdraw without submitting a withdrawal slip prior to the start of the session may be removed from swimming in the rest of the meet.

There will be a swim shop.

One spectator entry fee per session.  Numbers on the spectator balcony are limited.  In order to control entry, the spectator area will be cleared before each session.

Refreshments are available within the Leisure Centre.

The organisers do not accept liability for loss of belongings.

Pool deck access will be restricted to competitors, officials, and holders of coaches passes.

Diving Safety

The depth of the water at the shallow end of Holywell Pool is 1 metre.  Coaches and team managers are reminded that only those swimmers who have reached the standard of the ASA Competitive Start Award are permitted to start with a shallow racing dive.  They must on no account topple into the water head downwards.
